Very true. Another key point to remember is that Novonix does not need Tesla, as much as Tesla needs Novonix. We already know that Novonix is working with Tesla and other companies. That was known since before battery day. Elon can't mention specific companies, otherwise all other competitors to those companies will tank overnight. Chris Burns has always said that Novonix is focused on advancing battery tech for the good of everyone. I don't think they would ever go exclusive with Tesla, or any company. I'm a long term accumulator and holder, and I'm sure that they will land further contracts with several companies/sectors including Panasonic, VW, renewable energy, EVs, government and military. I think it's a $4.50 stock in the next year or two. It is an exceptional company if you care to go down the rabbit holes.
