When we talk about ice ages connected with the AMOC - the bad news is - if the AMOC stalls mainly from ice melting - as opposed to flooding with freshwater from rain etc
then there’s a problem for humans there before we get to the jumper buying stage of ice age
and that little problem is inundation
long before the ice - we will probably say goodbye to a lot of Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne
I think we’re at early days of AMOC research yet - I think we’ll hear a LOT more about it in 24 and 25
