During the signing of the agreement, the Undersecretary of Mining, Pablo Terrazas, explained that the agreement with Corfo seeks to give the Ministry of Mining the leadership in the planning and execution of the policy of mining promotion and protection of national mining resources.

It is worth mentioning that the Non-Metallic Mining Committee is a body constituted within the short-term measures defined in the Littoral and Governance Policy of Salares.
