If MAK gets to the stage of funding a rail, I don't think they will have a problem with competition. Infact if MAK gets to the stage of funding a rail, then they will also be at the stage of funding one of the many other plays they have up their sleeve, when the commodity cycle comes around.
Worrying about helping out other RP companies is the same poor excuse that RIO and BHP were making over Fortescue. so long as MAK holds long term profitable contracts then who cares.
