It had to happen but the new leftist administration of the Commonwealth* of Virginia is proposing a new tax of 85% of the difference between the fuel economy of the car [an EV = 0] and the nominal 25 MPG of a "normal" car. And they are, of course, increasing fuel tax anyway.
