The heating of salt to store energy is interesting. If it works out the way it looks, it will be ideal for a number of places, maybe here as well. Especially ideal for places without a lot of water.
This BrightSource Energy project is going to use steam heated by solar: Google invests in large solar project in California, using steam heated by solar to drive turbines and power the equivalent of 85,000 homes.
