    That's because it is a stream of 'plasma', just like a bolt of lightening.

    Purifloh (or Somnio) do not have a patent over the creation of a plasma stream between 2 electrodes. The patent is about HOW that plasma is created, their own 'special' build.

    It is one of the criticisms I had about the company. Anyone else can come up with their own method of creating a plasma stream and do all the things that Purifloh want the FRG to do.

    This has been possible for decades now, and there are ozone and hydroxyl generators already on the market, yet free radical generation has not made it's way into main stream air purifiers so far. Perhaps Panasonic will break the barrier and include their own plasma stream unit in one of their own air purifiers.

    Where is the market for Purifloh if the mainstream companies include their own plasma generators in their air purifiers??
