No shit sherlock, you've just confirmed my point that's it's the fundamentals that drive the charts. Nuclear accident happens, possibly hurts the fundamentals (at least in the short term) and the chart reacts accordingly. If the spot price goes up $300 (due to demand and supply) then the equity charts will reflect that.
