Noone's perfect and my post included one of my very rare factual mistakes.
When making my post I referred to the first page of the December quarterly where AMX indicated they had "3.1 million ounces gold" at Konkera and a little lower down stated "The new Konkera Resource (ar 1g/t gold cut-off) now represents Burknino Faso's largest single undeveloped gold resource."
I thought this referred to the "3.1 million ounces gold."
As I don't always remember numbers, which is why I referred to the report, I should have also checked the table on the next page which provided resource ounces at 0.5 g/t, 1 g/t, and 2 g/t cut-offs.
However, 2.6 million ounces gold at 1 g/t cut-off is nothing to sneeze at, and the fact this number only increased by less than 20% to 3.1 million ounces gold at a 0.5 g/t cut off indicates the quality of the gold's grade - the vast majority is nicely in excess of 1 g/t.
Also 1.3 million ounces at a 2 g/t cut-off is very nice indeed.
