Essential services like power and water should go back to government. They may not be efficient but at least they would be accountable to the taxpayers not foreign shareholders. I can see health and home insurance having to be taken over by government as they are simply becoming unaffordable.

Cut immigration I agree with. There is an over supply of labour which is why wages are not going anywhere. Business will have to compete for labour before wages will rise again.

I ended up as a public service employee for three years in the 90’s. I would say a few might have worked half a day each day, some did nothing, some didn’t turn up but fudged their time sheets, there was pilfering.....it was unbelievable. The Department of Health in the ACT.
