A penny for your thoughts...

Since things are pretty quiet on the news front, I'd be interested to know people's thoughts of what might happen over the next few months. Obviously the situation is infinitely complicated (we are dealing with politicians, after all), with so many variables leading to varying degrees of speculation and doubt, but what kind of figures do people have in mind regarding compensation and a potential buy-out, if we got to that stage? From a numbers perspective, with 444 million-odd shares, a government buy-out of $100 million (as a rough correlation with MEL's existing investment in conducting business) equates to 22.5 cents per share. Obviously that figure would suit some better than others, but if you have any thoughts, feel free to chuck them in. After all, the government could decide to screw us all over by running the unthinkable risk of implementing retrospective legislation, so no harm in speculating a little for the sake of healthy conversation. It will at least give us all something to read!

    Fire away!

    Good luck to all.
