So, should the people who are currently on the disability pension be asked to work for their disability pension, similar to those on the dole to have to work for the dole ?
Silly question...as has been suggested by intelligent and smart people, a third party Doctor should assess the person's level of disability rather than the Govt Department just accept "their" personal GP's prognosis and extent of their disability. So if a person is found that they are able to work, and the physical or mental issue they have used to avoid employment is a furphy and a cop out, then they would be transferred to a new start payment and assisted to find suitable work...Just like everybody else has to do in this society.
Why should genuinely disable people be disadvantaged by cheats?
