    Great explanation, could you just confirm one thing, you said:
    "If your holes are 50m apart you use a 50m search ellipse; one hole therefore assigns 100% grade confidence at 0m and 0% at 50m, which is where the other hole is. That other hole assigns its grade confidence similarly; at the midpoint the grade confidence is a mixture of the two holes' contributions."

    So if we have two holes 50M apart using a 50M search ellipse and at the same point at each of the holes there is a grade of 8% then there would 100% confidence that the area between the holes was all 8%. This would occur because at a point say 20 metres from from one hole would be assigned a confidence factor of 60%. whilst from the other hole which is 30 metres away from the same point the confidence factor would be 40%. Thus we aggregate them and get 100%, at any point along the 50 metres between the two holes we will get 100% confidence. Am I correct in this assumption?.
