Great post, Dave, and probably the only issue I agree with you on.

"The only way to reduce population growth is through education."

From what I have read, simply giving people access to the means of controlling their fertility would dramatically improve things. The idea that there would be a need for any coercion is simple bunk. The problem can be solved by giving people rights which are currently denied them.
