It is possible but I think as has happened the Yen has been pushed higher by investors looking for a safe haven and with the USD suffering some volatility the Yen has been pushed higher. Watch the POG it is being pushed higher on its safe haven status at last.
I don't know where the BOJ will go now but I assume in a short while they will have to take action to push the Yen lower or their exports will suffer.
There could be real turmoil when China comes back after the New Year.
Anyway none of this is really relevant here.
