Under the heading 'PENNY DREADFULS START MAKING CENTS AGAIN' (The AFR 12-13 September 2009, page 39) AFR writer Luke Forrestal refers to comments by Paul Adams, head of research at Perth Stockbrokers DJ Carmichael:
"One of Adams's preferred gold stocks for less than $1 is Ampella Mining, which has been exploring in the West African country of Burkina Faso.
Ampella shares have risen more than 600 per cent this year, and Adams thinks they have further to run.
"It's one of those very unusual companies," he says.
"Although a lot of expectation has been built into the market price, we still think it has a long way to go and we would not be sellers of that stock."
