FDA has recently approved life saving drugs after phase 2 clinical trials. For TBI, it is a similar situation where its the question of life and death of the patient. IMO if the trial results show that it is potentially a life saving drug , there is a reasonable chance (with the backing of US Army) that FDA may approve Trofinetide for TBI without the need of phase 3. In previous announcements, the trial (in progress) had shown lowering of the mortality rate.
