EDE (originally the Hythane Corporation) was inherited when TAS bought Brehon Energy gas reserves. Hythane Corporation was an unprofitable research company with a number of worthless hydrogen based technologies. Most of these were offloaded in 2006. Unfortunately GS didn't get rid of everything else.
