I like to think it wasn't the 56 Optus batteries too, just the 2 coming in to stock that were going out to an Optus tower in couple of weeks or so.
How much biz intelligence does it take?
One biz did an install for a council across 2 sites, the councils own figures indicate breakeven in 5 years for them, they seem to believe that.
One of larger Electrical Engineering shops in northern Australia begins by stating they already know what doesn't work reliably in the climate and they want to go down the MW hour installations route, you would hope they know their market.
Then in the west we have another large Electrical Engineering shop doing interesting stuff in hot remote places and then announce a .6Mwh install happening for other reasons.
And you have tucked away this info about an Optus install testing in the Daintree, not a lot of news. And you read the data from the Lithium Battery Test Centre which tends to back up comments by one or more of these EE shops and Redflow have actively responded to eliminate even a 3% reduction in efficiency. Then someone lets you know 2 batteries have arrived or are going out to an Optus mobile phone tower in country Victoria in the next few weeks. There has been a very big stink about loss of comms during bush fires but no mention yet of who is doing what with who.
And they are working on a more cost competitive gen 3 battery.
Leak, maybe, or just someones auntie or uncles and maybe their friends with some spare millions. Or, maybe, some people said bugger this, time to move anyway.
