@8horse - Do you (or anyone else) know how to get the underlying beneficiary holders inside nominee accounts?
From what I gather, unless there is an obligation to disclose because a holder crosses the 5% threshold or has over 5% and buys or sells then, (and ASIC I understand requires that then be disclosed) then pretty much the only way is through the sort of logical process of elimination and basic number of shares maths using what information is known. Freehold recently praised a bit of good detective work because it identified some particular recent AVZ purchases.
Seems likely the use of nominee accounts is precisely to disguise who holds, although simple administrative convenience might be a motive too.
I'm also a little bit interested in how a transfer within Airguides people holdings would be reported. ie. I'm interested in if ML would have to disclose the share transfer as a sale.
It's a bit tricky the relationship between ML and Airguide and also between Mastermines and Sos David something or other (of AVL)- because they used to be members of HotCopper and aren't supposed to be discussed (the preference of HC) but they are active market players nontheless and so what they do matters to share price valuations still quite separately to any relationship they once had with HC.
