    Have any of you read Konrad Lorentz's book "On aggression"? Among many other things he examines real aggression (reaction to a physical threat, for example) and pathological aggression, where often the least provocation produces the maximum reaction. Extremely well illustrated in the Science Fiction book "Limbo 90", written by (I think) Gene Wolfe.

    There is definitely something wrong in the minds of the fanatics who demonstrate here; possibly even a cultural phenomenon. It may have roots in some massive inferiority complex.

    Whatever, it bears watching.

    Interesting BTW that I too have met quite a few Iranians, but again all Bahai. Persecuted and left. This too speaks badly of a culture which cannot stand opposing views (and here there really is no opposition; Bahai is a very peaceful religion which embraces others).
