If there hadn't been a force majeure ending their efforts, who knows what the supermajors may have struck. But then - we also would not be discussing Range & their prospects right here and now. Fact remains, that at least one of them struck hydrocarbons in the time they were drilling in Puntland.
In the case of Conoco, Africa Oil are amazed that they drilled where they did, after AOI's reinterpretation of the data. AOI (who as a team have a very successful track record & high credentials) are very confident going into the upcoming drill.
