Country Writer be careful I WAS an engineer in 70's with Driefontein gold mine. Mining share VERY rarely return money to shareholder ESPECIALLY gold mining shares. The engineers managers etc eat all the profits until the mine closes. The longer it lasts the better for them - not you - (I know from long time ago)! Raisng OPM is becoming much more difficult I suggest you be careful with mining shares. I have been burnt so badly the last year worse than ever before (biggest losses) will no longer touch mining shares (except ERA only share I have) until after the crash.
