In my opinion "mum and dad" or "individual investors" have been losing out for years and not just in this stock but also other stocks with huge registries due to the shenanigans of traders, shorters, HFT as so on. In my view the consolidation is necessary, maybe even a necessary evil, and not without purpose. You can't ask serious institutions to put up serious coin if their investment is going to take a 40% over two weeks due to SP games.
