This has probably already been discussed but does anybody have an opinion regarding the use of INV102 ( nadolol ) in both the asthma and the smoking cessation trials. I know that chronic bronchitis and asthma are different diseases however my understanding is that part of both trials is using nadolol to treat the airways from sufferers of both diseases. My line of thinking is if the smoking cessation trial data indicates some level of success does that mean there is greater level of probability for success with the later asthma trials. Obviously it cuts both ways and failure here may mean chance of failure with other INV102 trials is greater. Personally, I don't know why they didn't do just one trial with smokers who also suffer from asthma - only joking. If I'm way of base I don't mind being told.
