Thanks w27 for the great response. I appreciate it and in some ways you answered my question except I'm interested if there is a a statistical consequence that if INV102 is proven to be successful in the first trial ( smokers cessation ) then the results of the next trial ( asthma ) have a greater chance of being successful given they are both using the same beta blocker and in some part targeting the same area of the body ie chronic bronchitis involves a long term cough with mucus production, caused by inflation and irritation of the bronchial tubes ( airways ) in the lungs and Asthma , like chronic bronchitis, is a chronic inflammatory disease of the air passageways of the lungs. Asthma causes the bronchial tubes to be overly sensitive, or “hyper-responsive”, to many different stimuli, causing them to swell and produce mucus and making it difficult for air to pass freely in and out of the lungs ( taken from Invion website ).
I don't want to become a scientist or pretend that I am however I always like to make an informed decision and I believe this is an important investment question when they release the much awaited trial data. Do I average down, get out, top up or double up will depend upon my interpretation if there is any relationship between the trials.
