I don't think you can expect any more results from smoking cessation in the short term. The trial is of something like 120 patients. I doubt that they have fully recruited yet and the trial probably takes four months. There will need to be at least a month for analysis, statistics, etc. They have broken the blind prematurely to get shareholders some results. Any premature break of the blind attracts statistical penalties so I would not expect any more of that.
The market reaction has been very restrained considering the results which as far as possible confirm all the projections. These results are really spectacular. There must remain some doubt, but in reality it is very slight. We can quote examples where preliminary results were good but the further results were fizzers, but they are rare indeed. This is nearly proof of concept in a $40B market. And we get a 20% increase in price?
