In today's Gold Coast Bulletin (page 2) is an article describing how "...researchers at Griffith University discovered a new cure" for human para-influenza virus (hPIV), which is the second biggest cause of acute respiratory tract infections in infants. The new treatment is the use of a new combination of drugs; Relenza and a drug called Suramin. It has been a very long time since I have seen Relenza's name in print, so must be positive; notwithstanding patent due to expire. Perhaps this is a "new indication" for the drug and we may get some patent extension! As a long term holder, I continue to dream this dog (Biota) will one day achieve the potential of those early days of the company.
