LOVE IT !! great picture Aksier. what i would like to say is, what good is a government with more money thru higher taxes, if it only wastes it!!!. if Ken Henry thinks that the minning industry has`nt been the backbone thru the boom and the saviour thru the last down turn, (GFC).,then maybe he should get out a bit more. I can only speak from the point of view , as someone from W.A.,and everything is driven here by minning, most everything. this includes house prices, as most miners,and contractors have used funds gained thru minning projects to negative gear investments in houseing. this will be a domino effect if implemented,( the 40% tax)at the current format. i do believe minning co.,`s would be happy to pay a little extra (out of super profits),but you have to look after the goose, and not pluck the guts out of if. I think Marx`s said, if you dont look after the economy you cant look after the people. In the art of war, ego`s dont win.
