The trouble with democracy is we have to elect politicians.

I have more respect for umpires and Collingwood supporters than politicians.

I'm not saying democracy is bad, there's no better alternative, but the politicians of the last 40 odd years seem to be squeezing average Joe's freedom and democratic rights down to a shadow of what we once had.

I probably haven't expressed that very well so I apologise in advance.
