Both Canada and New Zealand have current Governor Generals (not hard to search for) the constitutional representative of the Queen therefore neither has cut ties with Britain. Neither are indicating any moves to cut ties. Neither of these countries are a republic. Why post such blatant BS as the basis for a pathetic argument???

Canada became independent by evolution, not revolution. It's what is known as a "Constitutional Monarchy" that is basically modelled on the British Parliamentary system, with a few differences. But basically, Canada is a republic, the Queen has no real political power - she is a figurehead. There are a few people (myself included) who want a true Republic, but that's not gonna happen...
