    Nobody seems to be able to come up with reason for the change to a republic except for some ethereal feel or anti-royalism.

    If there are no gains to be had for the country or the economy, then why bother? Change for the sake of change? Change because Fitzy or Mal or Bill have dreams about being President?

    Beats me...
