They probably have faith, but there was also no alternative then accepting shares and options...GRR has no cash for this kind of acquisitions. I do not think that RIO is an active shareholder, they are on the sideline and are watching..Maybe when we get more close to the finalising of the JV partners and finance, they will make a move..
Anyhow they have to decide in spetember 2008 to exercise their 8.5 mln options @ 1.95...($ 16 mln)...if they do they commit them further..especially when the price is around these levels..
