I worked at Midwest Vanadium, in WA the only mine in the southern hemisphere to produce v2o5, we used that vanadium trioxide to smelt it into ferrovanadium billits.
It is one hard ass process to get right and chemically, the project shut down due to cost of vanadium, and a fire that happened at the site....
I wish it would open again I would go back in a heart beat. I love chemical processing! But vanadium would have to stay high for it to open and supply. That was a 1B a year mine site... (if you can get the process correct)
