Make no mistake, this volatility is here to stay.

It’s easy to forget that bitcoin didn’t even exist at the start of 2009.

Cryptos are still very, very new.

People are still trying to figure the tech out. That’s why you’re seeing these huge moves, and will continue to do so.

Also, most bitcoin is still owned by a tiny amount of people. That means a few big owners selling at the same time can have a big impact on the price.

Two more factors will breed further volatility…

The first is the entrance of big institutional money into the crypto markets in 2018. As you’ll see tomorrow, these are the crypto ‘funds of funds’. That will pump more money into the markets.

And, finally, the wildcard: government regulation.

When China announced plans to crack down on sketchy Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs) the value of bitcoin dropped through the floor. The same thing happened when a South Korean government official said the country might outlaw cryptos altogether.

These governments are fighting a losing battle.

    Cryptos aren’t going anywhere.

But you can bet on many more wild price swings this year.

And many more opportunities for FFG Trading Cryptocurrency in 2018
