the placement is old news, and immaterial to recent sp moves. the sp has been going down because big players want in, and want small players to panic and sell their stock to them cheap, so they have been moving the price around. the give away is how the bid side is always instantly topped up to soak up shares that get shaken out. don't fall for it.
