There are always buyers, yes even now. I see it all the time.
1. "Bargain" hunters. They say the yield is so high and risk will go away at some stage, so it's very cheap. They do not wait for market to re-rate the company, these valuation experts simply de-risk the company themselves!
2. Pure speculators. They know probability of winning is small, but reward is very high if they luck out. So they buy a position they can afford to lose. In fact they almost expect to lose.
3. There are also day traders who would would trade anything their systems allow.
