The probability of being one off every one of 5 numbers is about 32 times as likely as the win. The irony of it is that it pays nothing, not even a minor division. Nearly 64 times for a 6 number draw.
(It is slightly less than 32/64 because of the boundary cases - a drawn #1 has only #2 next to it, where as all other numbers could be one up or one down - two possibilities for every ball drawn).
And seeing a photo of it happening is not at all surprising, since human nature is likely to record and share it when it happens - so close but so far.
