hoping someone can advise on how this scam works

I have a boat for sale advertised in a local magazine

I have had numerous emails from people claiming to be sailors,oil rig workers and miners none of whom can come and inspect the boat due to their remote location but are prepared to take my word for its condition ?

They always ask for more photos and my final price,then say that they will pay via paypal.

Today i adverised in gumtree and the first response was from another 'sailor' telling me to open a paypal account,he will then transfer the money into 'my'paypal account which i dont have and his agent wil come and collect the boat.no in spection etc needed

I know its a scam,but who is the agent that will collect, just some unsuspecting sucker and how do they rip off
the money ?
