Great article The Aus outlining the structural and cultural failings at ASIC. Makes for an interesting read when considered against the injustice metered out to ISX.

It sounds like their mounting failings have reached tipping point in their relationship with the government. The treasurer is tipped to put a broom through the joint.

The ASX may find there buddy is a little less amenable when they have their own crisis to deal with.

Hi @gattertop, @Goldphish also put this on the off-topic thread. As I said there, I read it again making a few substitutions (ASX for ASIC, listing rules for ASIC Act, ISX for Westpac....) and it was just as pertinent.
