Just to get the feel of the "gold fever" in this East Mindanao region... I came across this short documentary in Youtube...it seems to be Diwalwal gold mining town (if not mistaken just North of MNE Comval).

Go straight to 00:30 frame and looks like a gold vein running on the surface.
The gold appears to being mined by residence close to the surface, very low cost and only with basic equipment. Interesting story...
