I certainly see what you're saying, but Labor pretty much lost the election in their franking credits policy. The talk around the family BBQ killed them.
on that policy, it never made a difference to yourself or myself anyway, as I doubt you'd be receiving any cash refund on franking credits, just an imputation credit.
taking an apolitical view on this, I'd say relations would be less frosty (with China) if a Labor government won the election.
I'm not saying I support or don't support any particular government, just my observation.
