The Nationals Leader David Littleproud said as much on the Insiders program and suggested that the only way to go is to talk to the Gas companies to increase domestic supply. Insiders David Speers pointed out that's exactly what the Labor Govt is doing.
So now, after the horse has bolted, there are suddenly going to be discussions held with gas companies to increase domestic supply. After years of obstacles to on onshore exploration and development.
Begs the question why exploration and development of gas supply wasn't permitted years ago, when several quarters were foretelling the east gas coast gas market deficit.
(And it was not hard to predict. Why, even lay commentators on this forum saw it coming.)
