    Dave,

    I agree.

As for BJ's comments, he should consider the following:

Up to close of counting, 64.5% of the vote had been counted (ie: ~70,000 votes). The total electorate is ~110,000 votes (~1.5x the size of an average Federal electorate).

The NT had 25 Assembly electorates, with an average size of 4,400. Many council wards in the metro area are of a greater size than this.

    The votes cast were:
    Labor Party 25 +12.1 36,706 52.7
    Country Liberal 25 -10.2 24,480 35.2
    Independents 12 -3.0 5,235 7.5
    Greens 11 +3.9 2,706 3.9
    Network Against Prohibition 5 +0.5 319 0.5
    Australian Democrats 2 -0.6 152 0.2
    Others 0 +0.0 0.0
    One Nation 0 -1.3 0.0
    Territory Alliance 0 -0.8 0.0
    Socialist Alliance 0 -0.5 0.0
