Namibia is one of the less-apalling investment destinations in Africa from an operational point of view, and Lithium one of the more timely commodities at present.
Pegmatite intrusions are usually small, low tonnage bodies, with the mineralisation restricted to localised narrow zones that are only suitable for small-scale hand mining. (The Greenbushes Sn/Li-pegmatite in WA is unusual, in that it is exceptionally large in comparison to the numerous other small squibs of subeconomic mineralised pegmatite that occur throughout the Murchison and the southwest)
Nonetheless, this has the makings of an interesting exploration project. The key to it will be demonstrating significant mineralised tonnage potential at an early stage. Hence their early focus on drilling out the known occurrences.
Proximity to rail and port will be an added bonus if they find anything worth mining.
