I absolutely concur.
I now know after many years of trading/investing that if I had followed the blue chips instead of the ratbag stocks I have generally followed that my fortunes would be orders of magnitude better than they are today.
Oh, it's a lot of fun playing with the dog stocks in the hope of picking a winner (and I've had a few), but slow steady accretion of quality stocks wins in the long run - hands down. For every dog stock winner there are just too many that ultimately lose.
So, for anyone SMART enough to understand what you've posted there your post is a valuable reminder of where the real money is made.
Too late for me, I've got the speculative blood in me now and it's hard to shake off - but if I do find myself significantly ahead, I'd dump the crap stocks I play with and just get on board the real winners.
