"It is worthwhile to recall the words of Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, a US Navy chaplain who served with the marines on Guadalcanal during WWII: "It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us the freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us the freedom of speech.

"It is the soldier, not the campus organiser, who gives us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who allows the protester to burn the flag.""

Yeah yeah. Heard it all before. How exactly does the soldier give the freedom??

Some soldiers are fighting for the invaders, some for the defenders. Which ones give the freedom pals??

Not the bloody invaders that's for sure.

So it's the defenders. Anyone disagree? No didn't think so.

Ipso facto, the invaders are fighting the soldiers who are the defenders, so they must be fighting AGAINST the freedom. Anyone disagree?? OK.

So it's bloody ludicrous to say soldiers fought for freedom because, by definition, some fought AGAINST freedom.

It comes down to this - soldiers as defence forces OK, give em their dues or the benefit of the doubt. Soldiers as invaders NOT OK. Piss on em.

Next, the seppos - are INVADERS. The Israelis are INVADERS.

Case proven. The guy's a wanker.
