Have you noticed that nearly all of Mining Weekly articles contain these clauses:

" .....a source close to the deal said"

"The source told Mining Weekly Online ..."

Makes you wonder who these sources are and their interest and motives on the subject at hand?



Anyway my "source" has advised that Maredi has withdrawn the generous gift of the Hoepakrantz farm. Can only conclude that the offer remained on the table until Feb 29th.

Let's face it ARM's Chair Patrice Motsepe's view was that NKWE cannot offer what is not theirs. So why the heck waste a year at the negotiation table?

Lets hope that the DMR issues a statement clarifying Nkwe's position over the farms and its Mining Right. I intend to write to the Minister seeking a statement similar to that she wrote re the dispute resolution between NUM and Xstrata.
