A couple weeks ago when you bought at 12 we had many day/visitors to AVB who were just here to help push the s/p north so they could complete thier trades.

You may notice they have now gone...but they will be back when the s/p again gets steroids, and they will again post rosy robust charts, good informative posts and predict s/p will be 50c /$1 by Xmas, blah blah blah... happens all the time..

Iv'e found that when they come out fighting it's a good time to cut and run.

I did.....I sold at 13c ( only 30% of shares then held ) and bought back at 11c. Maybe too soon ???

each to thier own.....just watch the hype mate...and as you say, averaging in and out isn't a bad idea..

And one quality all AVB long termers have is patience....buckets of the stuff.
