When it goes to court they'll have to disclose periodic financials throughout the half (e.g. monthly) and also internal estimates/target forecasts versus actual results. BAL knew what the market was expecting from them by way of analyst forecasts. If it's apparent that they were severely below expectation earlier than when they notified the market, then it's simply a matter of how much their insurance policy can cover.
